“Employability is the ability to enthrall employers with undisputable capabilities to optimize personal development and job growth.”–Terence Chiew
Every employee must not forget that he or she is a candidate for the next “reduction-in-force” exercise. The best thing to do is to “make hay while the sun shines” that is, review your strengths and weaknesses and endeavor to do something that will help you mitigate your losses should you fall victim of lay off exercise.
Employability means being able to move from one occupational group to another and from one skill efficiency to another. Good and continuous training will make this possible.
Hard work pays high dividends. All you need to do to stay employable is to upgrade your skills and use them for the development of your organization. The harder you work, the more you improve your knowhow and skills on the job. These skills are saleable and this is what makes you employable.
To be successful in this world, you have to follow your passion, not a paycheck
